Transparency International Australia’s 2019 national conference – Tackling Corruption Together: Rebuilding Trust in Australian Business and Regulators

How can business, regulators and civil society work together to restore and strengthen integrity in public and private institutions?

Tackling Corruption Together, the 2019 TIA conference in Melbourne is a unique opportunity to address this question and to hear how industry leaders from the financial services, mining, and real estate sectors are tackling corruption risks.

Transparency International Chair, Delia Ferreira Rubio, and Executive Director of Transparency International Cambodia, Kol Preap will bring their global perspectives on international trends in fighting corruption. In addition, Professor AJ Brown will launch the draft findings of the National Integrity Systems Assessment (NISA) – our ongoing collaborative research with Griffith University assessing the strengths and weaknesses of Australia’s integrity institutions and accountability systems.

The Conference is preceded by the National Integrity Workshop on 3 April. The Workshop is the culmination of the above-mentioned NISA – participants from across Australia’s public integrity systems, civil society, business and the media will receive embargoed access to the project findings and draft report in order to assist with development of final Assessment recommendations in advance of the official launch of consultation on the report on Thursday 4 April.
