Open Gov Week Gathering – Sydney
Help make open government the new business as usual.
It’s international Open Gov week Monday 7 May – Friday 11 May 2018.
We’re celebrating by holding a gathering to bring together people working on open government initiatives and people interested in knowing more.
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a global community of over 70 countries committed to working with citizens and civil society to help their governments be :
– accountable
– transparent
– participatory
– innovative and transformative in the design and delivery of government services
Meet the open gov community
Australia joined the OGP in 2016. To hear more about Australia’s commitments to openness and how you can get involved, come along to meet:
- members of the Australian Open Government Partnership Civil Society Network
- the public participation team from the Australian Department of Industry
- people working with the private sector in promoting openness
and others from Federal and State Governments working on open government initiatives, active citizens, and other like-minded people.
Please come armed with your ideas on how we could improve public participation! and feel free to share this invite with your colleagues.
Hope to see you at the Dove and Olive. We’ll be in the upstairs Lounge.
