Partners wanted to work on the Partnership

by Peter Timmins

The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet has called for expressions of interest to join an Interim Working Group to help co-draft Australia’s National Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership (OGP).

The call follows the announcement last week that after a hiatus of several months the government is “eager to continue working together to settle a set of commitments that not only meet government and civil society’s objectives, but also meet the core OGP requirement that the NAP be developed publically (sic) and transparently in a spirit of genuine partnership.”

The Network welcomes these positive developments.

Nominations for the working group close on Wednesday 23 August.

Australia’s national action plan will be finalised by 1 November.
