From December 7-9, 2016, France will host the Open Government Partnership Global Summit in Paris. More than 3,000 attendees from the open government community are expected including heads of state, ministers from the 70 member countries, 15 subnational governments, academia, civil society, press, multilateral organisations and other thought-leaders.
The Network has been urging Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to take steps to ensure strong Australian government and civil society participation and hope for some news on this soon.
Registration is now open until October 31.

There is the possibility of some travel support arranged through the OGP Support Unit and those seeking assistance should register as soon as possible. Criteria for determining participation and funding from the OGP Support Unit for civil society actors can be found here (link is external).

This is the program as it currently stands.

One of hundreds of planned sessions is Civic perspectives on OGP civil society and government collaboration mechanisms which will include an Australian contribution.

Be there if you can…..
